“Quality is never a coincidence, It only comes when you care enough to do your best.”

It has been a common aspect of many companies to highlight their quality but very few have the ability to put the principles in practice.

Most companies believe that Quality is costly.

We believe that it is priceless.

At India Group we have totally different view of quality. Quality is not attached just to the products but to four aspects of our business, namely

Products
Processes
People
Management.

Products

Products manufactured in any of our unit go through a rigorous quality checking and inspection cycle devided into two major activities.

Activity One : Stage Wise QC

Stage wise QC is done at every critical stage in the production cycle for machinery as well as Foods division. We have identified Critical Control points (CCP) in the production cycle and defined standards for each CCP. The CCP-standard is compared to the actuals and the unfulfilling products are rejected at the same spot.

The stage wise QC enables us to remove or rectify the product before the production cost gets high and the delivery schedules get haywire.

We just go one step ahead and find the root cause behind the loss / damage. We do not focus on the damage but on the root cause and eliminate the same. This keeps the staff and us on their toes. Further, we also get to know our refresher training needs in place to move to a higher level of quality.

Activity Two : Final QC

Final product inspection in both the manufacturing unit is done with stringent standards and strict rejection policies. Here we try to give just the best and nothing but the best to our customers.

There is systemized recording and reporting of the issues pertaining to lack of quality. The rejection is bought down month on month by this practice.

Processes

We focus more on processes than the products itself because we believe that proper systems processes and tooling reduce chance of poor performance.

Improving processes on a regular basis enables us to move ahead of quality loss and reduce our rejections, there by upgrading product quality gradually and keeping it at that levels.

People

We train people to have attitude for quality. It may be any department, not just production, we promote having a quality attitude than just rules.

It may be the watchman or accounts manager all have the same thought process about quality work and their commitment towards Quality Duty towards their work.

Rules tie down people, but attitudes grow them and the organizational culture formed in such a way produces quality outputs sustainable for long time.

Management

All the above three cannot be attained by proper management support and initiative. It has been found in many companies that they start every QC venture with a lot of enthusiasm , but it fizzes out in a matter of months. This is due to lack of Management commitment.

We strongly believe that culture flows from top to bottom and we at the top have to set right examples to keep our people aware of how importantly we take the above three aspects.

We are punctual polite and always solution oriented and this has a very positive effect n the people who produce products and set processes.

It is from the top that we keep a watch on very aspect of quality, making our organization a sustained quality model.
